EU convenes emergency meeting due to shutdown of Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary

The Paks nuclear power plant had to be shut down due to record shallowing of the Danube, the water of which is used to cool the reactors. Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Madr warned of the threat of an energy crisis - Paks generates almost half of the country's electricity.
