The EU announced a tender for the construction of seven AI gigafactories

Amid growing concerns about digital dependence on the US and China, the EU plans to build seven AI gigafactories. Brussels will allocate about 5 billion euros for this, another 5 billion from the EU member states participating in the project, and the remaining 20 billion from private investors.
